In the second half, Bartoli pays homage to local hero Richard Wagner, with the World Premiere performance of David Plylar’s concert transcription of the Prelude from Tristan un Isolde. The concert ends with David Plylar’s brand new Fantasy-Paraphrase on Giacomo Puccini’s Il Tabarro, an important work commissioned by the Puccini Festival Foundation and dedicated to Bartoli.
